Working through our sister organization, Community Health Advocates of Oregon, we have developed a network of over 1,000 individual health care policy advocates. Members of our grassroots network represent health center staff, board members, patients and other community supporters.  Are you intersted in becoming a Health Center Advocate? Sign-up here.

The presentations and video from our 2014 CHAO Forum - Show Us the Way - are available here.  We've also posted a photo gallery capturing highlights of the event.  Watch and enjoy!

Advocacy Trainings are here!

It is imperative that voices from our community health centers are heard and now we have a set of trainings to bring these voices into the community and to policy makers.

As debates swirl in Congress, in Salem, on television and in our own clinics, we know one thing for sure, the world in which community health centers live is changing.  As these changes occur, you have a choice to make-- to sit by and let these changes happen or to speak up, speak out and act to make the CHC voice heard.

Speaking Up, Speaking Out: Advocacy 101

Speaking Up, Speaking Out is an introductory advocacy training for community health centers in Oregon.

Developing Your Advocacy Strategy: Advocacy 102

Developing Your Advocacy Strategy will build upon the foundation created during the first module, Speaking Up, Speaking Out: Advocacy 101. Please note that it is not a pre-requisite to participate in our Advocacy 101 module to engage in Developing Your Advocacy Strategy, but it is strongly suggested. This training will facilitate the creation of a strategic plan to launch an on-going advocacy initiative.
