|Description:||The Rinehart Clinic has an immediate opening for a licensed Acupuncturist. We are a Federally Qualified Health Center located on the beautiful Northern Oregon Coast in Tillamook County. We are minutes from hiking & biking trails, kayaking, year-round fishing, ocean vistas, wineries and the nearby cities of Manzanita and Nehalem. We provide high quality, complete, personalized care for local residents and visitors to the Coast.|
This fully benefited position is grant funded and requires a commitment of 30 hours per week. Medical, Dental and Vision coverage begin on the first day of employment. Job Purpose: The Acupuncturist provides direct patient care and is committed to upholding the mission of the Clinic as well as contributing to the wellness of the community.
Provides diagnosis and discusses treatment plan with patients.
Performs therapeutic procedures as dictated by her/his licensure.
Ensures an appropriate environment for delivery of care by assisting, in general, with maintenance and housekeeping (e.g., maintaining equipment, locking and securing areas, and maintaining work areas in a clean, safe, and orderly fashion.
Works in collaboration with multi-disciplinary team to perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans.
Participates in daily team huddle.
Documents all interactions in the patient’s medical record.
Completes all records and reports as assigned and supervised.
Participates in the community health center’s quality assurance activities and performs duties in accordance with applicable standards.
Develops and maintains skills by completing continuing education and seeking consultation from appropriate sources.
Makes follow-up appointments.
Attends all appropriate clinical updates, meetings and trainings.
Maintains strictest confidentiality; adheres to HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
Participates as a team member.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Ability to proficiently and accurately read and write in English.
Excellent telephone and communication.
Proficient computer skills; ability to use multiple types of programs, i.e., word processing, electronic health record.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and perform efficiently and effectively in a stressful environment.
Ability to work in fast-paced setting.
Empathy and understanding of patients with special needs.
Ability to work effectively with people from diverse social, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
Valid/current Oregon Acupuncture license.
Previous experience as an Acupuncturist preferred, but all levels of experience will be considered.
Experience with an electronic medical record preferred.
Ability to make accurate technical and visual observations of patients.
Ability to relate well to patients and staff.
Current CPR certification.
Ability to pass criminal background check and drug test.
Standing/walking; predominant daily position.
Bending, stooping, lifting, positioning; predominant daily physical activities while performing duties within clinic practice.
In performing job duties may be exposed to blood and body fluids and hazardous chemicals; sight, auditory, tactile and olfactory senses exposure.
Computer screen, mouse and keyboard usage.
